“When the day came for us to say goodbye to our dog Bella, we were grateful to be referred to Dr. McPhee for at-home euthanasia. She arrived at our house and was so gentle, compassionate, and professional. She made sure Bella was as comfortable as she could be, and was understanding and respectful of what we were going through. Her calming presence helped make Bella's passing as peaceful as it could have been. The hardest part of having a pet is saying goodbye, and I am so grateful we had Dr. McPhee to assist us with that goodbye. Would definitely recommend her to anyone in this situation.”

“I am so grateful for the care Madrona Veterinary Housecalls gave my two elderly pets when it was time to release them from their terminal illnesses. Dr. McPhee was kind, flexible, and capable. In both cases, my beloved pets slipped away painlessly, surrounded by their loving family.”

“Dr. Claire was able to access my kitty’s physical condition and we discussed how his illness has presented over the last few days and months. Her experience and knowledge was very helpful and providing me with the information I needed to make an informed and compassionate choice for my kitty. After two weeks of going to my vet and the AEC, I was feeling a little crazy and desperate. Dr. Claire’s capable, knowledgeable, and empathetic presence was exactly what my cat and I needed at a very tumultuous time. She was able to offer me a few options and to thoroughly explain the pros and cons of each one. I highly recommend Claire!”

“Dr Claire was impeccable. She made a semi-urgent last minute housecall to help our old little chihuahua, Rico, pass over the rainbow bridge. Rico had an appointment with his normal vet but in his old age, car rides gave him anxiety. Dr Claire was calm, patient, informative and compassionate. I would recommend her services to anyone. She made such a sad moment so much h easier. We can't thank her enough!”

“The housecall service from Madrona helped us say goodbye to our beloved dog at home in his favorite spot. Dr. Claire was able to come right away when we decided the time had come. She was compassionate and caring. It was the last way we could care for that big galoot and we are grateful he was calm and surrounded by love at the end.”

“Dr. Claire helps her clients and their pets through a very difficult time. She is kind, sensitive and empathetic through the whole process. We needed help assessing the quality of our dog’s life and she helped us understand how he was doing. She was flexible and responsive to our needs. Our dog was terrified of the vet office so being able to spend the end of his life at home in our loving hands was a blessing.”

“Dr. Claire - thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your sincerest sympathy, trusting nature, caring attitude and calm gentleness that you provided to us when our American Bull, Charlie, was failing. We have only the best to say for the outstanding services that you provide. Thank you just doesn't seem adequate enough.”

“Dr. McPhee was professional, warm, and compassionate when the day came that our girl Ama showed us it was time to let her go. She gave us the peace of mind knowing that our beloved dog's last moments were in our home, surrounded by her family. We were incredibly thankful that the person we had chosen to help her out of her pain was so capable and caring. No matter how many times you experience it, it is so painful to say goodbye to a furry family member, but because of Dr. McPhee, the process went as smoothly as it every could. Although none of us want to think about losing another beloved pet, I know my family members will all want to have her help us through it again in the future.”

When the time came to say goodbye to our pup we hoped it could be at home, the most familiar and comfortable place for our beloved dog Belle. Madrona Veterinary provided the services we needed and Claire was nothing short of outstanding. Her professionalism, expertise and compassion helped us through this difficult time.
Claire is truly a Dog Whisper.
“No matter how many times one says farewell to a pet family member, it does not get any easier - maybe it even gets worse because we recognize more each time how important they are to our overall emotional well-being. So while it can't be painless for us who remain, it can be peaceful, dignified, and gentle. That is what Claire offers with her remarkable ability to help families through euthanasia at home. It is the only way that would have made sense for us and our loving bud recently, and we feel so fortunate to have found her and been able to form a memory of that day that is as warm and loving as it is sad. Thanks, Claire.”

“Dr. McPhee was incredibly kind and sensitive when she came over to our home on such a short notice. She talked to me about the process and gave me time with Trinity.
I am so grateful for her services. Thank you so much for providing a home service and letting Trinity pass peaceful on her deck with her head on her pillow.”

“Our Bernese Mountain Dog, Big Bogart, was declining rapidly…we could no longer let him suffer, but it was a very difficult decision to make as he was the ‘heart and soul’ of our family… We decided to use home euthanasia where Bogie would be with his loving family as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Claire was very compassionate…she asked important questions and expertly guided us. She had empathy and showed such warmth and patience in our time of need. She made our family and Bogie comfortable and safe. Her professionalism and compassion guided us through one of our most painful moments.”
